Srinagar, May 20: Indian captain Wednesday said Australian veteran Shane Warne made him look like a fool when he bowled at him during IPL 2009.
Kohli, the modern-day batting epitome, has rarely struggled to face any bowler, be it a seamer or tweaker, earning him a great name.
Talking about Warne, Kohli remarked he made him look like a fool when he faced him during the IPL 2009.
“Shane Warne made me look like a fool during IPL in 2009. I played him again in 2011 in Rajasthan, nothing significant happened there. He did not get me out, I did not score many runs against him. After the match, he came up to me and said never say anything back to the bowler, but obviously I did not listen (laughs),” Hindustan Times quoted Kohli as saying.
The two haven’t faced each other since then as Warne hung the shoes soon after.
