Srinagar, April 13: Kevin Pietersen, the former England cricketer, Monday named Pakistan’s Mohammad Asif as the best bowler he faced.
The cricketer turned commentator complimented Asif, who faced a life-long ban for spot-fixing, saying, many batsmen were happy with his ban.
“I think there’s plenty batters around the world that were happy he got banned! He was the best I faced! I had no idea against him!” Pietersen wrote on his official Twitter handle.
Asif was known for his distinctive skills with the ball. He swung it sharply, troubling even the best batsmen. However, afer found guilty of spot-fixing, he faced a life-long ban.
