Shahid Afridi backs Hafeez’s views on corrupt players

Srinagar: Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi Thursday, while backing Mohammad Hafeez who had spoken openly against corrupted players, said that the board should set examples while unearthing these cases.

Hafeez had recently said that players who were involved in spot-fixing shouldn’t get another chance to play.

“I feel these examples should have been set in the past but this didn’t happen and that is why we have seen such cases on regular basis,” Afridi told the Geo channel.

“I have nothing against anyone but even now if the Board wants to set an example it can do that. Only then can we hope to curtail such cases,” he added.

There have been several incidents of spot-fixing coming in the limelight lately.
