Jammu, May 26: An unbeaten fifty by Nikhil Sharma on Saturday steered Junior XI Kathua to 3-wicket win over Gagan XI in the ongoing JKCA-organised Talent Hunt tournament at Kathua.
Batting first, Gagan XI managed to score below-par 182 runs in the allotted 40 overs. Rohit Raina and Gagan Singh struck cameos of 30 and 26 runs while for Kathua, Anubhav and Sanchit scalped 3 and 2 wickets, respectively.
In reply, Junior XI lost a few quick wickets, however, lastly, chased down the total with ease. It was Nikhil Sharma who sparkled, scoring unbeaten 59 runs to take his home with 12.2 overs to spare.
The youngster was later adjudged man of the match for his knock.
