In the very next year, he shined for the J&K U-19 team in both limited-overs and multi-day tournaments, again finishing up in the NCA camp. This season, the Anantnag-born cricketer continued his excellent run at the U-19 level, owning him the maiden senior team call-up.

At the age of 18, Mujtaba today debuted for J&K in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Nagaland, leavi[dropcap][/dropcap]ng a mark in his very first match. The pacer scalped one wicket while gave away mere 17 runs in his 3 overs.

It would be interesting to see how he bowls against strong oppositions in the coming matches.
