IPL boy Rasikh Salam not in J&K T20 team shocks cricket fans

The absence of J&K’s recent IPL recruit, Rasikh Salam in the T20 team has been questioned by the cricket enthusiasts across state.

The pacer became the third Jammu and Kashmir-based cricketer to get a IPL bid as he was picked by Mumbai Indians in the Auctions that were held in December.

However, he hasn’t included in J&K squad for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, making fans question the decision.

“Despite getting IPL bid, JKCA hasn’t picked him for the T20 team, how is it justified?,” A fan questioned.

“The decisions of JKCA makes one think that they’re no way interested in cricket. How can one see Rasikh out of the team,” another enthusiast said.

People also said that it would have been a great preparation period for Rasikh before going into the mega league in April,

“It would have both given Rasikh, a preparation period as well as some confidence before playing IPL. Though, it seems like our association thinks some other way,” a cricket expert said.

Meanwhile, there have been some whispering that his exclusion is due to the Mumbai Indians camp, however, there is no official message on this by the franchise.

Also, BCCI has made it primary for franchises to allow players in taking part in the domestic tournaments, which surely explains that the reason is something else.
