In the second phase of T20 trials, Shubham Khajuria, Parvez Rasool, Nasir Lone and Abdul Samad sparkled as Team ‘A’ cruised past Team ‘B’ by 1 run at Jammu on Monday.
Batting first, Team A made 163 runs, largely due to a splendid knock of 73 runs by Shubham Khajuria. He looked in fine touch as he plotted his innings in a spectacular manner. In the later half, Abdul Samad joined the party, scoring quick 30 odd runs to lead his team to a good total. For bowling side, Waseem Raza and Ram Dayal did the job with the ball, scalping two wickets each.
In reply, Team ‘B’ lost the openers in a quick succession. However, it was Parvez Rasool who guided the innings, making 30-ball fifty before getting run out. Then Nasir Lone showed his flamboyance as he made 23-ball 31 runs.
In the end, Team ‘B’ fell short of one run, rewarding Team ‘A’ a victory.
