Ranji Trophy, Tea Report: Rain mars 2nd day of play, umpires inspected pitch  

ranjiSrinagar: Bad weather marred the first and second session’s play of the second day Ranji trophy tie between Kerala and J&K at Kolkata on Friday.

Starting their day on 263 for the loss of seven wickets, Kerala had added only 19 runs before rain interrupted the play. Sanju Samson was batting on 142 while as Manu Krishnan on 12.

The remaining time of the play was marred by rain. Though the rain has stopped now but umpires are yet to decide when play will restart. Currently umpires are inspecting the pitch and ground conditions after the heavy shower of rain. There are minute chances that hours play can be held today.
