The controversy-hit JKCA while continuing its ‘noisy’ approach has appointed junior selection committee instead of earlier announced senior panel to select the U-23 Women’s team for the upcoming T-20 tourney.
Reportedly, the step has been taken to ‘select a particular player’ who was earlier not picked by the senior selection committee for the 50-over tournament owing to her fitness and other issues.
However, this highly influential girl has pressurised the JKCA and made them appoint junior selectors so that she gets a place in the team,
“She wasn’t picked in the senior team because there were better players in the queue. The selectors were even forced to add her but they stood tall,” a top source told KSW.
“Now to select this girl, JKCA has appointed U-19 selectors to select U-23 team while ignored the senior panel for this job,” the source added.
Meanwhile, to know more about the matter, KSW made several attempts to contact JKCA, CEO who was, however, not available for a comment.
