Sports Council holds meet with Football Association for football promotion

With the aim to boost the sports activities in the State, Secretary J&K State Sports Council held meeting with Jammu Kashmir Football Association (JKFA), in a local hotel in Srinagar on Monday.

It was proposed that football academies at district level will be formed to enhance the football sports in the state, the statement issued by JKSSC said.

Speaking on the occasion, Secretary J&K State Sports Council, Wahid ur Rehman Parra said that Council will do everything to support promotion of football at local level.

He also said that 30 grass root centers will be established on pilot projects basis under various schemes for the development of football sports in the state.

Jammu Kashmir Football Association provided list of national, international players and qualified license C and D coaches who will look after the newly proposed football sports academies in the state.

The meeting concluded on a note that every possible help will be given to the JKFA for the overall development of football sports in the state.

Besides Secretary J&K State Sports Council, JKFA President, JKFA Secretary and other members were present in the meeting.
