The superb bowling by Tauqeer helped Dawood Sports beat Veerian Cricket Academy in the final of the Dachnipora Premier League on December 4.
In the beginning of the match, Dawood Sports Bijbehara won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first Dawood Sports set a target of 160 runs in allotted 25 runs, in which Sharif Ahmad (Raju) scored 67 runs. While from Veerian Cricket Academy (VCA) side Owais Bashir and Younis Naiko took 2 wkts each. In reply Veerian Cricket Academy started well and took the score to 135 runs in 20 overs with 5 wkts in hand. After that team collapsed at the score of 150 runs and lost the match by 9 runs. From VCA Younus Naiko was highest scorer with 44 runs. At the end Tauqeer Ahmad from Dawood Sports was declared as a man of the match for his 4 wkts haul. He took 3 wkts in 25th over, when Verian Cricket Acadmy was in need of 10 runs in 18 balls. He bowled superbly and helped his team to win.
