In the just culminated International Thang-Ta Championship 2018 held from 22-24 November at Imphal by Huyal Longlon Thang Ta Federation of India, the Delhi Public School Srinagar students secured the first gold medal for the Country.

Putting in a stellar performance, the school won 4 medals – one gold, one silver and two bronze medals. Ten countries including India, Nepal ,Bhutan ,South Korea, Myanmar participated in the event. Hanaan won a Gold, Sarah Zahoor won the Silver while Inam and Muminah won the bronze.
Principal Alastair R.A Freese congratulated the medalists and their mentor Unjuman Farooq who has been a driving force behind the success. He said “It is indeed a moment of great pride and joy to see our students making the country , school and state proud. Special praise should go to Unjuman for her commendable training.
