J&K got off to a brilliant start to their home Ranji Trophy tie against Tripura, as the visitors were reduced to 101/4 at lunch on the first day of the match at Sheri-Kashmir Stadium Srinagar.
Tripura won the toss and elected to bat first. Irfan Pathan gave them early blow by trapping opener BB Ghosh LBW in first over. Mohammad Mudhasir then got the prize scalp of UU Bose leaving visitors 20/2 after 7.1 overs. N Kadam and SK Patel tried to stabilize the inning. The duo took score to 59 before Patel lost his wicket. Umar Nazir gave J&K third wicket and then Parvez Rasool joined the act by trapping Bravish LBW.
At lunch Tripura were batting on 101/4 with N Kadam batting on 33 while as Pratyush Singh on 15.
