The terrific bowling spells by Abdul Samad and Taizeem Tak spins to third straight win as Odhisa were bundled out for 191 runs in the match of the Vinoo Mankad Trophy match at Jaipur on Monday. J&K won by 85 runs.
Odhisa were going well in chase of J&K total of 276 runs having scored 109 runs for the loss of one wicket in 19.3 overs. The introduction Taizeem Tak triggered a collapse. Tak broke the partnership by getting Nitish LBW and soon followed that with another scalp of Shubham for naught. After that Samad joined the act as he went on to claim five wicket haul. Odhisa bundled out for 191 runs in 39.2 overs. Samad finished with five wickets while as Tak finished with four wicket haul. Mujtaba Yusuf took one wicket. For Odhisha Swastik Samal scored 122 run knock.
Earlier batting J&K on the back of ton scored by Qamran Iqbal and 72 runs by Jiyaad posted 276 runs on board. J&K lost Vivrant Sharma early but , Qamran and Jiyaad in the middle formed big stand stand. Qamran completed his hundrend of 117 balls and got out after scoring 107 runs. His inning 10 fours and 4 sixes. Jiyaad soon followed him after scoring 72 off 92 that included 6 foyrs and 2 sixes. Down the order a little cameos played by Abdul Samad who scored 20 off 19 , Musaif Ajaz 29 off 37, Javaid Ahmad who scored 12 off 9 and Taizeem tak who scored 11 off 3 balls helped J&K finish inning on 276/6 in 50 overs.
It is third straight win for J&K in the tournament after having suffered two defeats earlier in the same event.
