The 76 run knock scored by Showkat Molvi lead Spartan Cricket Club to title win of Drangbal Premier League as they defeated Khadniyar Knight Riders in the final played on Sunday at Drangbal Pampore.
Batting first, Khadniyar Knight Riders scored 207/7 in the allotted 20 overs. Umer scored brilliant century of (109) for them while as Gh. Mohammed took 3 wickets.
In reply Spartans Cricket Club Drangbal were 4/1 in 2 overs and looked in trouble. Danish and Showkat Beigh formed a partnership of 70 runs followed by brilliant knock played by Showkat Dar (Molvi) who scored 76 from 20 balls (7 sixes and 7 fours). He helped Spartans chase target in 16.3 overs.
Showkat Molvi was given man of the match and man of the tournament.
