‘Me Too’: 3 more claims against Cristiano Ronaldo after alleged Miami rape incident

Cristiano Ronaldo might have denied the rape allegations made by US-based woman Kathryn Mayorga but ever since the alleged incident has been brought to everyone’s notice, three more such cases have come, as per the rape victim’s lawyer Leslie Stovall. “I have had a call from a woman who claims to have had a similar experience (like that of Mayorga’s),” said the lawyer about one of the three new claims that she has received.Ronaldo Mayorga

Mayorga told The Sun that she is following up on the cases and would hand over the details to the Las Vegas police who are handling her client’s case which dates back all the way to 2009. In terms of the further developments in the alleged rape incident involving Cristiano and Mayorga, German publication Der Spiegel has revealed more details, suggesting the footballer had made the woman sign the non-disclosure agreement in 2010.

It is reported that Mayorga (now 34 years of age), met the Juventus forward in a nightclub back in June 2009 when the footballer invited the model to his penthouse suite at the Palms Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. He then allegedly raped her.

“I firmly deny the accusations being issued against me. Rape is an abominable crime that goes against everything that I am and believe in. Keen as I may be to clear my name, I refuse to feed the media spectacle created by people seeking to promote themselves at my expense,” Ronaldo had tweeted as the Der Spiegel report on the matter came into the public domain.

A supposed copy of the said document between Cristiano Ronaldo and Katheryn Mayorga has been released online by the German publication where the signatures (purportedly) of the two parties are visible. As per the document, Mayorga was allegedly paid £287k within 7 days. The woman claims that she had signed the agreement as she was terrified of “retaliation” and “public humiliation” but has now decided to sue the football star.

Earlier, a belly dancer named Karima had claimed in her interaction with Italian prosecutors that Ronaldo paid her €4,000 in a Milan hotel back in January 2010 to have sex with him. Karima was said to have been 17 years old at that point in time and as per the Italian laws, paying an under-18 (a minor) for sex is illegal. The footballer had escaped criminal charges at that time and had strongly denied the allegations too.
