Seasoned batsman Imran Bazaz played a brilliant knock of 115 runs as Kanwal Tigers defeated Young Kadipora-XI Anantnag by 89 runs in the match of the 50-over tournament organized by Bijbehara Cricket Association (BCA) at Bijbehara ground on September 29.
Batting first Kanwal Tigers scored 313 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in allotted overs.
Imran Bazaz was star in the batting scoring 115 run knock. Rayees and Zubair supported him by scoring 63 and 51 runs respectively. Ameek Khan and Khurshed took 3 and 1 wicket respectively for Young Kadipora-XI.
In reply Young Kadipora were able to score only 226 runs for the loss of all wickets in 40 overs. Imran Sofi with 46 was highest scorer for them while as M Amin, Hanan Mir and Khurshed Misgar scored 33, 49 and 42 respectively.
Irfan and Zubair took 5 and 3 wickets respectively for Kanwal Tigers. Imran Bazaz was adjudged as man of the match.
