The reports of allegations of impartiality in JKCA trials are continuing with Jammu cricketers on Saturday alleging that U-16 shortlist is dominated by the favouritism and back door entry while deserving players have been ignored.
They further claimed that even list was not publicly announced by JKCA, fearing the reaction over nepotism,
“Firstly, list wasn’t announced publicly and selected players were informed over phone. They have again included the players coming from influential background,” players told KSW.
JKCA was recently criticised for the U-19 squad as well and time U-16 age group players are also not satisfied with the trials process,
“When will things improve in JKCA? Selectors prefer influential players and it happens mostly in Jammu. We demand justice,” they added.
After announcing the 22 probable, selectors gave back door entry to 4 more cricketers the next day on the basis of approach,
“22 boys selected first and then next day 4 more were added. It’s just disgusting,” players alleged.
