After KSW reported about the inclusion of a few overage players in the U-19 squad, JKCA on Saturday removed one player from the squad and lodged a FIR against it.

JKCA had announced a 20-member U-19 squad for upcoming Vinoo Mankand Trophy yesterday and it led to severe reaction as the list was hit by favoritism and overage players.

Kashmir Sports Watch exclusively reported about the fiasco, which finally bore results as JKCA taking note of the report has now taken action against the alleged overage player.

JKCA would take strong actions against age-frauds,

“He has been removed from the squad and further a FIR was launched over the matter. Everybody who is involved in age-fraud will be banned and legal action would be taken,” said a source at JKCA.

Players have expressed their happiness over the matter and thanked KSW for its efforts,

“We are more than thankful to KSW family. It’s just because of their efforts, justice has been prevailed today,” said a couple of players.
