Islamia College Srinagar has emerged winner in the Inter-College Badminton championship that was concluded at Women’s College Nawakadal Indoor hall, on September 12.
In the final of the tournament organized by Directorate of physical Education and Sports Kashmir University, Islamia College defeated S P College in final.
In the first singles Aadham of S P College defeated Faisal of Islamia College while as in second singles match, Asif of Islamia College defeated Adil of SP College.The match was then decided in the doubles, in which Islamia College emerged winner.
Speaking on the occasion the incharge Principal of host college, Prof. Zaffer highlighted the importance of participation in sports for overall development of the human personality. Among the others present on the occasion were Prof. Raof, Dr. Altaf ur Rehman and coach Harvinder Singh.
