Doda, July 21: Wadiye Kashmir script convincing win against Manhas Cricket Club (MCC) by 05 wickets in the ongoing All India 14th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2018 being played at Sports Stadium Doda, here today.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, MCC made 163 runs in alloted 20 overs for the loss of all their wickets. Sandeep Bali was the highest scorer who scored 34 runs while Surinder contributed 33 runs for his team. For Wadiye Kashmir, Irfan ul Haq scalped 04 wickets while Omar picked 02 wickets.
In reply while chasing down the target of 164 runs, Wadiye Kashmir managed to made the runs in just 16.2 overs for the loss of 05 wickets, thus by won the match by 05 wickets. Khalid played a brilliant innings of 51 runs while Asif Bakshi contributed 50 runs for his team. For MCC, Surinder grabbed 02 wickets while Nikhal Kotwal and Imran Malik shared 01 wicket each.
Later on for his best performance, Khalid of Wadiye Kashmir was adjudged as the Man of the Match who was given prize by Patron YSCC Manzoor Ahmed Batt and Chief Organizer Gufran Tournament Irfan Ali Butt.
The match was officiated by Yousuf Raza and Ifroz Rather as Umpires, while Sandeep Kaushik was the Scorer.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by 10 Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda and J&K Bank.
