Bilal Ahmad Dar of Chek I Kawoosa, Narbal Budgam area of Kashmir who trains in Sports Authority of India cycling academy wrote new chapter in the history of cycling by bagging three medals for State in National road cycling championship held at Karnataka.
In the championship J&K bagged four medals that included two gold, one silver and one bronze. Out of four three where bagged by Bilal that included two gold and one bronze while silver medal was bagged by Adil Teli.
Having been under training at SAI academy for more than year now, Bilal opened his medal tally by winning bronze in individual Under-16 category time trial. Then on next day he won two gold’s for the State Under-16, 20 KM mass start and then went onto add another gold in Under-18 age group of 80KM mass start. He is first ever cyclist from J&K to bag three medals in national championship conducted by Cycling Federation of India.
