Srinagar: While there were people from all walks of life present to watch the I-League match between Real Kashmir FC and Chennai City FC in Srinagar, BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav also made a surprise visit to the TRC Turf Stadium to witness the match.
Madhav alongwith Advisor to J&K Governor Farooq Khan watched first half of the match and witnessed the goals scored by Real Kashmir FC. During halftime, Madhav and Farooq gave away ceremonial jerseys and they were also handed mementos by Real Kashmir FC Co-Owner Sandeep Chattoo.
Later speaking to media Ram Madhav said that he is delighted to witness the match and also spectators coming in big numbers to watch the game of football.
“I am delighted to present here and witness the game of football. I am extremely happy to see Real Kashmir FC players playing so well. I was also lucky to witness both the goals scored by Real Kashmir. I wish them well and back them to win the championship,” Madhav said.
Madhav said Youth of Kashmir love football and they have come in big numbers to witness the game and Government is committed to support Real Kashmir and football in Kashmir.
“Youth of Kashmir have shown lot of interest in sports and particularly football. Kashmir people love football and will support Real Kashmir and football. We are committed to support both,” he said.
About the sports infrastructure development in Kashmir, “Committed to provide quality sports infrastructure development. We have here Advisor to Governor Farooq Khan along with me and they are working on big way to start development work”.

Ram Madhav on the occasion when asked about the J&K Bank football team been winded up said that he has no info on the matter and Farooq Khan should be asked about that.
