Mumbai, May 05: Jammu and Kashmir’s Umran Malik on Thursday bowled the joint fastest delivery in the history of Indian Premier League (IPL) by clocking 157km/h against Delhi Capitals.
The right-arm pacer has been breathing fire in every match of IPL 2022 but he went a step ahead on Thursday by consistently bowling over 150 clicks.
In his fourth over and 20th of the innings, he bowled at delivery at 157, which is joint fastest in the 14-year history of the tournament. Shaun Tait had also bowled 157km/h back in 2011
However, Umran went for runs as he conceded 52 runs in his 4 overs. Delhi Capitals set a huge target of 208 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
