Srinagar: Writing a new chapter in the history of J&K cricket, J&K’s first International Cricketer Parvez Rasool has become first ever cricketer from J&K to complete a huge milestone of scoring 10,000 runs in domestic cricket and 600 wickets.
Parvez Rasool who has represented India in ODI and T20I cricket acheived the milestone during ongoing Major league cricket in Sri Lanka. While playing for Badureliya Cricket Club vs Moors , Parvez who required one run to acheive the milestone got out after scoring 36 runs. With that his current domestic run tally is 10,035 runs in the combined figure of first class, List A and T20. In bowling on day 1 of the match Parvez has already taken two wickets.
Parvez has so far scored 5352+36 runs in first class cricket while as in List A has scored 3807 and in T20 scored 840 runs.
In First class Parvez has claimed 338 +2 wickets while as in List A taken 204 wickets and in T20 60. With that he has domestic tally of 604 wickets till date and also three wickets in International cricket.
Parvez is only cricketer ever from J&K to have scored 10,000 runs and taken 600 wickets. He is living legend of J&K but Mithun Manhas led JKCA from last two seasons have sidelined the biggest star of J&K cricket.
In absence of getting opportunities in J&K cricket Parvez has been playing in Sri Lanka and Bangaldesh. If he wouldnt have missed two season’s Parvez’s both run tally and wicket count would have been higher.
